Nearly one year to the day after announcing it had raised $4.0 million in a Series A Round of funding, Orem, Utah-based Ovation has now tacked-on an additional $2.0 million to its Series A round of funding.

When I spoke by phone with Zack Oates last night where he was attending an on "off-site" in Park City, Utah, Ovation's CEO and Founder clarified that the new funding (Series A-2), brought the total raised by the firm in its extended Series A round to $6.0 million.

He also added that the firm has now raised a little bit over $9.0 million in total through all its external financings.

According to its most recent funding news release, "Ovation is a guest-experience platform for multi-unit restaurant (companies) that starts with a 2-question survey to drive revenue, streamline guest recovery, and easily improve operations."

Current and past Ovation customers include such notable restaurant chains as

  • Burger King,
  • Chuck-A-Rama,
  • Domino's,
  • El Pollo Loco,
  • Friendly's,
  • Mo’ Bettahs, and
  • PDQ,

just to name a few.

According to this newest funding news release,

"Ovation’s platform helps thousands of restaurants ... get more feedback through frictionless surveys, improve operations through AI-driven insights, recover guests through real-time communication, and boost online reputation."
