BioUtah Unveils Winning Agenda for Next Week's 2024 Life Sciences Summit, Utah's Annual Life Sciences / Biotech Confab
BioUtah, the top nonprofit association in the state for Utah's burgeoning life sciences / biotech industry, has unveiled the agenda for the 2024 Utah Life Sciences Summit — and it's a winner.
Over 600 top life sciences leaders, experts, policymakers, and professionals are expected at the daylong 2024 Utah Life Sciences Summit (presented by Mayer Brown), which will be held November 14 at the Hilton, Salt Lake City Center.
Leading topic categories at the Summit will include "... market dynamics, the regulatory landscape, and strategies to promote innovation and advance healthcare, ..." with speakers from such leading national and international players as
- The U.S. Federal and Drug Administration,
- Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine,
- The Center for Medical Innovation at the University of Utah,
- McKinsey & Company,
- Stryker Neurovascular, and
- bioMérieux.
Presenters and panelists will also come from such Utah-headquartered firms as
— MARAbio,
— Merit Medical Systems,
— Myriad Genetics,
— Nelson Labs,
— Seek Labs,
— Sera Prognostics, and
— Teva Pharmaceuticals,
among others.
During the Summit, BioUtah will also unveil its industry honorees for five awards, namely
- The Friend of Industry Award,
- The Executive of the Year Award,
- The Entrepreneur of the Year Award,
- The Innovation Impact Award, and
- The Lifetime Achievement Award.
Finally, the Summit will also feature
- Five breakout discussions/presentations about succeeding as a life sciences firm focused on female health, as well as
- Four breakout discussions/presentations about raising money for life sciences firms.
According to BioUtah, Utah's life sciences industry is "...one of the fastest growing life sciences hub in the nation ... accounts for $22.6 billion in GDP and approximately 180,000 jobs."
